Fort Lauderdale, often referred to as the "Venice of America" due to its expansive network of canals, is a vibrant city located in Broward County, Florida. At the heart of Fort Lauderdale is its famous waterfront, featuring the Intracoastal Waterway lined with luxurious yachts and waterfront mansions. The city's beachfront area stretches for miles along the Atlantic Ocean, offering pristine sands, water sports, and vibrant beachfront promenades.
Start your day off here with a brunch at House on the River (available on weekends). The authentic French Bakery inside serves baked goods and pastries, and the family style Brunch Boards are a great way to sample their offerings and includes : Croissants, Bacon Egg & Cheese, Pancake Stack, Egg Frittata, Pork Sausages, Short Rib Sliders, Crispy Fried Chicken & Waffles, Cut Seasonal Fruits.
Our Fort Lauderdale day will end with a dinner at Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery in the Atlantic Hotel (butcher’s block selection would be my choice)
Since the restaurant faces the beach, the evening can be capped off with a moonlight stroll.

Broward Center for the win!
Broward Center is home to over 700 performances annually and overlooks the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale. If you love art, music and theatre, you’re going to want to plan your visit around one of their shows.
